Today's inspiration comes from the lovely and talented Penelope Bolkovsky, designer in chief at Penelope Red. Her "Lady in Red" collection is inspired by the silhouette's and glamorous detailing of old time movies... each piece versatile enough to be worn to the office, out on the town after work or relaxing with friends on the weekends. Such elegance!

 

 

In her own words... "I am always inspired by vintage silhouettes and the fabrics I find. In this case, the "Golden Age of Hollywood". One of my favourite movies of all time, "You Were Never Lovelier", starring Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth, has played a huge part in my sense of aesthetic and fashion. Everything was glamorous in the movies then, from the hats to the shoes, to the feathers and beading on the ball gowns!"
